EPA Final Rule on AAI and ASTM Standard E1527-13 - Phase I ESA's

EPA issued its final rule on December 30, 2013 that ASTM 1527-13 is compliant with the All Appropriate Inquiry (AAI) rule.  The USEPA “All Appropriate Inquiries,” or AAI, rule is a process of evaluating a property’s environmental conditions and  assessing the likelihood of any contamination. The new rule makes it clear that "any party who wants to conduct all appropriate inquiries under CERCLA may follow the All Appropriate Inquiries Rule at 40 CFR Part 312 or use the ASTM E1527–13 standard."
